I hope you are well and thanks for checking in! Since we last typed, I have been working my but off 14-20 hrs a day 7days a week, but boy is it going great. Sometimes, when I am having a hard day in the edit bay I think of the smiles on your faces in the crowd, in the film and especially when you see it it for the first time.
The film is now at one hour & 41minutes,(with intro titles and credits) however things are still being reduced, repaired, and rethought all the time. I am on my way to the edit room and I want you know, you are the reason the film is so special!!!!!!!!
Also Duranies from Switzerland & Yugoslavia have registered recently bringing our count to 51 countries!
If anyone asks, tell em fans from 51 countries are all united to share their stories of their community, devotion, passion and that there is Something You Should Know!
Thanks for your wonderfully supportive emails-unfortunately still having an outgoing email problem with my server in LA. I will get back to you-if there is an urgent message feel free to try my old email address of duranfanfilm@yahoo.com until my tech dilema is solved.
To Answer a few broad questions:
If we register is there a fee to be a fan of your movie or the website?
- I will never charge anyone to visit our site or to be apart of our community-That is what it is all about-we are all in this together 100%. I do, however inform registered members of hot news or important updates first. Also if you register you will have the first and best shot of getting into the premieres, getting exclusive content only available to fansonfilm members, and memorabila from the film. Eventually we will sell merchandise, & DVDs etc..
How can I be in the film?
Primary filming is complete- however if you have precious photos from your duranie youth especially home shrines, in their clothes or dressed to emulate them (fedora,etc..) Please get them ready NOW and if you are a tech savy scan them at 150 dpi, for NTSC broadcast standards 720 & 480, saved as a jpeg(rgb or mac colors not CMYK ) at the best quality. We are nearly finished with the duranie history, the Look & the Home shrines sections and want some more photos- so want to be in the film? Obviously there is no guarantee, your image will fit the need, or technically work but it is worth trying-I think. Please no more than 4 images a person-only your very best photos!
Are there any plans to see or have access to interviews and sections that dont make it in the festival cut or dvd cut?
YES-I have eluded to special dvd extras-well I think you will be thrilled with our plans for the dvd and the ones to follow! Plus I hope to have a directors cut and a festival cut on the same DVD.
ok I have to go finish our film,
All the best Duran Nation - You Rock!
