Something You Should Know: Mission & Edit Update # 2
(many Duranies did not get our latest update, (not sure why yet) but, for those who did not recieve this email – here it is)
Dear Fans On Film from 53 countries,
This is my second letter to the registered members of
www.fansonfilm.com. Recently, many members have asked for more info & more updates.
I have been hesitant to send any emails until I am ready to give a major
update i.e. a film festival premiere, TV or DVD release. I do have some
updates today; otherwise, please continue to check our news page for
updates on the progress of the film. As always, a registered fan will
receive this update email before, one who simply visits the news page
without registering.
Over the next several days the web site will contain more info on the
characters, the shooting process, and feature audio segment #1 of my
interview with Kat Korbett of KROQ radio in LA. I will also start to add a
bunch of goodies over the next several weeks and all of this will be
member only content, for now. So get your password fingers ready to rock.
So here is where we stand officially: The film is currently 1 hour and
37 minutes and I will be reducing even farther to reach our story, time
goals, and final picture lock. We have 9 cuts or versions of film done
and we are very close. I mean very close, so close that I will begin to
submit a working print to film festivals in regions where the most
members are registered by July 1, 2005. The regions based on response
include the US, UK, Canada, and Italy. If we get a few hundred more fans
from France, Japan, the Netherlands, Australia, and Germany we will submit
to festivals there as well. I do realize, some people are in remote
areas and want to see the film as well, however I must enter into some
major city/film festivals first for world premiere status. I am determined
to bring the film to you, your country, and your home no matter where
you live… look out Sri Lanka, China, New Zealand, Croatia and beyond!
We’re coming soon!
When I am complete with the press kit I will digitally supply them to
anyone who wants to promote the film to local media or festivals. I am
very very excited about our progress and look forward to my next updates
on the web and with the latest info about the film.
Thank you all again for believing that there is”Something You Should
Know”!
Kind regards,
M. Douglas
P.S. Please keep emailing and telling your friends about the film and
to register today.
p.s.s. also our webmaster Alyse is getting married today July 10,2005-CONGRATS!!!!!!!
